For this holiday season, the Homeless Coalition of St. Johns would like to shine the volunteer spotlight on Mirtha Barzaga.
For several years, Mirtha has been a steadfast supporter of the Homeless Coalition. Each year, she has organized several neighborhood food and toy drives. The food and toys she and her team has collected has helped to create a joyful holiday experience for our families and community.
Thank you Mirtha for caring and giving back to the most vulnerable families in our community.
Our Mission & Vision
The mission of ESHC of St. Johns County, Inc. is to truly make a difference in the lives of homeless families with minor children by providing housing and services required for them to remain intact, stabilize their lives, save toward affordable permanent housing, and break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.
The vision for the Homeless Coalition is to have a well-manicured campus with restored and new buildings, robust family services and a proven track record of family success stories. There will be community ownership and pride in the success of these efforts along with increased funding to continue innovations in services.
